About Us
Miraphora Mina, Eduardo Lima, Harriet Logan, and Mark Faulkner founded Woop Studios. United by a love of graphic design, words and images they founded Woop to bring a unique and exciting angle to the fascinating world of collective nouns. Mira and Eduardo have spent the last decade working as graphic designers on the “Harry Potter” franchise. Harriet Logan is an award-winning photographer with extensive editorial and advertising experience. Mark Faulkner is the Founder & Head of Innovation at Data Explorers.
Our online gallery opened on 24th November 2010 presenting our first collection of two alphabets – one for the collective nouns and one for the collective terms. These original limited edition prints will be available to purchase framed or unframed.
The gallery will offer visitors the chance to view and buy original signed limited edition prints that have been created by the Woop Studios creative team that with the wit and charm of every phrase in mind.
These original images make excellent presents and gifts. You can select your favourite design, animal, word or a letter that means something special to you. Adults and children find the colourful and educational images fascinating and beautifully bound and embossed box sets are available for the serious collectors in limited editions of only ten.
This site also offers the visitor the opportunity to learn about, search and to have fun with over 1,500 phrases. Each of the images will be accompanied by 10 fascinating facts about the animal depicted and we hope that the site will become a valuable homework reference site – incorporating fun as well as education.
It is our intention to partner with educational and charitable organisations worldwide and assist them raise funds for their important causes in this time of economic difficulty. We welcome enquiries from such potential partners. We believe that together we can help make a difference.
